Stop the Invasive Non Native Species strategy
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Stop-t...49021385147058
The European Commission (in the form of DG Environment) is currently developing an “Invasive Alien Species strategy” [IAS] which will be transposed into an EU Directive and implemented across all 27 Member States. Invasive Alien Species (IAS), or Invasive Non- native Species (INNS) as they are better known as in the UK, can clearly pose a threat to the environment, biodiversity and economy, making this a serious issue.
The result of this strategy could prove devastating to many reptile and amphibian keepers not to mention shops, wholesalers, breeders, importers and so on.
The strategy will not only be restricting the possession and trade of reptiles and amphibians but any living organism that can be invasive to ANY European country.
