Sera PO4-Test
The sera phosphate-Test:
Directions for use: Shake reagent bottles well before using. Do not allow tested water to contact aquarium or pond water!
# Rinse the measurement vial several with the water you are going to test, and fill to the 10ml-mark. Dry the exterior.
# Add 6 drops of reagent 1 into the vial and whirl gently.
# Add 6 drops of reagent 2 into the vial and whirl gently.
# Add one heaping measuring spoonful of reagent 3 (spoon supplied). Close vial with the cover and shake. Remove the cover.
# Wait 5 minutes. Under natural daylight set the vial on the volor chart and compare the colors from a position aboce. Aviod direct sunlight. Check phosphate level to the "10ml + 0ml" value line from the table.
# If the test water is NOT blue, then the water is extremely low in phosphate or phosphate-free. If the test water is dark blue, then the phosphate level is more than 2,0mg/l. for high levels, repeat the test with further diluted samples as directed next.
Diluted sample If required.
# Discard the contents of the first test into the garbarge. Thoroughly rinse the vial with tap water.
# rinse again with the water to be checked, and fill to the 5ml-mark.
# Top-up to the 10ml-mark with distilled water. Use sera aqua-dest or another pharmaceutical-grade distilled water. Note: General houshold distilled water can produce undesireable results.
# Repeat steps 2 to 5. Compare to the "5ml + 5ml" value line.
# If the test color is still dark blue, then the phosphate level is more than 4,0mg/l. Continue testing with a dilution of 2ml test water + ml of sera aqua-dest or distilled water, using the "2ml + 8ml" value line for comparison. This method can ascertain phosphate levels up to 10,0mg/l.
# Cleaning. Clean the vial throroughly with tap water before and after each test.
<
Attention: The vial turns milky when left with the etst reagents too long.
Corrective actions: Phosphate levels can be reduced by performing frequent phosphate-free water changes ( approc 10%

%, once a week), introducing fast grwong plants, or in freshwater aquariums and garden ponds using sera phosvec.
Store in a cool dark place. Close reagent bottles immediately after use and do not exchange caps. Keep out of reach of children and pets! For testing ornamental fish aquariums and pond water only.
