curiosamente un pesce che pareva quasi estinto, che si trovasse solo in un ruscello come il Puntius denisoni non è nemmeno registrato come LC... forse perchè finito il boom commerciale, si è scoperto che è diffuso in molte parti dell'india? oltre al fatto che ora arrivano di riproduzione (ma non era irriproducibile? ) ok, compresi ibridi e mutazioni, ma almeno non prelevati in natura

Ora di evitare di prendere pesci di cattura al di là della minaccia l'ho scritto anche io. Di infoltire il gruppetto con altri esemplari di cattura, sarebbe una ******* secondo me. Riproduci quelli che hai, in 4 avrai un maschio e una femmina sicuri, e il fatto che non siano stati ancora riprodotti, non significa che siano irriproducibili, solo che sono importati da poco e non ci hanno ancora provato, oppure fa comodo sfruttare l'attrattiva del wild . Quindi niente nuovi inserimenti... ma posta una foto della vasca...

..non si sa nulla della riproduzione in cattività... neppure su quella in natura.. almeno da quanto riporta "Seriously fish"...
sono pesci che necessitano, per avere condizioni ideali 18°... a 22° iniziano a soffrire... CI VUOLE UN REFRIGERATORE essendo i pesci diffusi in un habitat che va dai 900 metri sul livello del mare in sù..

..praticamente TUTTO il web racconta della necessità di proteggere le specie a rischio endemiche della Cina e del sud est asiatico, in quanto NON esistono praticamente norme protezionistiche ( a differenza del Brasile e del SudAmerica dove si cerca di far rispettare molte restrizioni)
fate quello che volete.. importateli, teneteli, cercate di riprodurli, tentate di motivarlo... ma come cittadino del mondo e da ex- moderatore di questo Portale (commerciale).. mi sento in dovere di riportare solo una minima parte di questi articoli.. basta cercare Protomyzon e in OGNI articolo esiste la parola "endangered" e "restricted area"....

"Officially known only from a handful of headwater tributary streams draining the Dayao Mountain (Dayaoshan) in Jinxiu County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, southern China.

There are just three confirmed localities of which two drain into the Liu River (Liujiang) and one the Gui River (Guijiang), themselves both north bank tributaries of the much larger Pearl River (Zhujiang) system.

It remains unclear if the fish in the aquarium trade are collected from one of the above, one of which lies within a protected forest park, or there exist undisclosed, additional locations though the latter possibility appears likely (Z. Hang, pers. comm.).

The IUCN currently list it as ‘Least Concern’ but a report by Kong et al. (2008) suggests the overall population to be small and habitats under threat of degradation from dam construction, loss of water quality and the use of electrofishing and ichthyotoxins."
