in internet ho trovato questo ma e in inglese......capisco solo che con il mini 200 non e molto felice...qualcuno mi puo aiutare con la traduzione?!
I have recently replaced my old Deltec TS1060 with a Bubble-King 200 Mini (Volksabschümer). These two skimmers should be rated to more or less the same tank size. But with a skimmer that costs nearly 50% more than another you should think that you would get more than just a nice look. You do, because the BK200 mini is very silent compared to the Deltec. But I cannot make it work nearly as well. If I calibrate it according to Royal-Exclusiv's recommendation, there will be a 1,5 white foam head at the top. After a while another layer of thick brown foam will get at the top. After severel days nothing has been pushed into the skimmer cup. Everything sits on the inside of the cup and the white conus. I wonder how much of the foam/gunk is decomposing here and going back to the tank.
Does anybody has the same experience with this skimmer or know what to do? It seems like an old air-driven Sander Picolo skimmer would collect more gunk from my reeftank. I would like to think that I am doing something wrong or there is som kind of defect. I have heard so much good about these skimmers but for now it is way outperformed by a cheaper (and noisier) Deltec TS1060
Kindest regards from Denmark
