Aggiungo che è un granchio decisamente "di carattere", nel neno reef si fa rispettare e in certe situazioni può risultare pericoloso per altri animali, soprattutto crostacei con livrea e aspetto simile al suo (es. Neopetrolisthes) e conspecifici.
